Progress

One of the important and vital expectations of humans from life is to always be "progressing." "Progress" means moving forward or advancing and growing in life. Perfectionism and aspiration for excellence are two prominent examples of progress. Perfectionism refers to the continuous desire and pursuit of existing weaknesses, and striving for excellence emphasizes reaching the highest level in life. Dissatisfaction with personal flaws guides humans towards progress and improvement.

In addition to these two prominent examples, environmental influence, nurturing, self-discovery, and dynamism are also among the expectations discussed in this realm.

Progressive Intelligence

Studies have shown that the triadic domains encompass a total of 14 sub-factors that can be considered as "fundamental domains of intelligence." One of these options is progressive intelligence. Progressive intelligence refers to the exceptional ability to engage sharply at high speed; meticulous pursuit; optimal understanding and comprehension of advanced educational materials; performing tasks with the attainment of skill or knowledge; innate special skills in a field; designing new solutions or innovating something new that is beneficial for life improvement. Progressive intelligence includes 5 fundamental sub-factors:

  • 1. Engagement Ability: Exceptional ability to sharply engage and unique and unparalleled talent.
  • 2. Understanding: Quick, accurate, and comprehensive grasp of content.
  • 3. Academic Progress: Ability to succeed in the learning process and understand academic materials, achieving high academic rankings based on valid tests.
  • 4. Expertise: Special ability or innate skill in performing a task in a field.
  • 5. Innovation: Presenting a beneficial plan for the first time or innovating new things that provide a new and effective solution to difficult issues towards life improvement.

Due to conceptual ambiguities, misinterpretations of values, and the diversity of intelligence, two other ambiguities also limit diagnosis: the issue of intelligence in minorities and signs of disorders. However, the diagnosis of progressive intelligence does not have any of these shortcomings. Academic competitiveness and self-confidence are considered fundamental traits of progressive intelligence and create conditions for compression of the educational period through inclusive classes with special teachers. It seems that through the realization of inclusive classes, it is possible to nurture progressive intelligence and alleviate constraints related to real-life skills and practical intelligence.
