ABSRACT:
for comparing “Factorial approach” with “Interaction approach” about of giftedness, examines relationship between intelligence and creativity of the gifted students. Interaction approach discusses whether giftedness involves creativity and Factorial approach refers to creativity is not necessary factor to giftedness. Cattle's Intelligence Test, Berger's Personality Test (Emotion Scale) and the Abedi Creativity Test were administered to 324 gifted students (158 male and 166 female, in grades 6-10, with a mean I.Q. of 137). The results indicated that no significant correlation exist intelligence and creativity of the gifted students. The analysis result from SPSS of Pearson Correlation is: 0.003; (P<0.001.). The findings from the study indicate sufficient evidence to support the Factorial approach and threshold theory nevertheless, do not confirm the Interaction approach. It is concluded that correlation between intelligence and creativity of the gifted students depends on the tests, gender, age and intelligence quotient differences.
